May Your Word (The Word Made Flesh)
May Your word fill our hearts with hope
May Your truth bring the captives home
May Your love heal our broken souls
As we come to You
Christ, who speaks and brings forth the light
Christ, our ransom from death to life
All the fullness of God in Christ
The Word made flesh.
You who came to us through lowly birth
You who walked dusty roads of earth
You who touched our pain and gave us worth
Lord, we come to You
May these words burn much deeper still
Than mere marks made with ink and quill
May the saints who bear witness still
Draw our hearts to You.
Holy Spirit, renew our minds
That we may speak forth Your words of life
Fill our hearts with the peace of Christ
As we walk with You
Tend the seeds of our growing faith
May Your hope be our dwelling place
Let Your Love burn like holy flame
Christ, be formed in us,
O Christ, be formed in us.
